LaserJet 1000/1150/1200/1300 Series Pick-Up Roller & Separation Pad Installation Instructions
  Models: 1000 | 1150 | 1200 | 1200n | 1220|1300 | 1300xi | 1300n

NOTE: These instructions are simply a guide. First Choice assumes no responsibility or liability for any damages caused by user while working on there printer during this repair.

Tools Required

Flat blade screw driver

Step 1
Remove Toner & Paper Tray. Remove the Paper Tray by first removing the Upper Tray Cover and then the Lower Tray can be removed by lifting up and out.

NOTE: Do not force the Lower Tray, you can break the plastic.
Step 2
Paper Tray removed
Step 3
Open the Toner Access Door and you will be able to identify the Feed Roller.
Step 4
Remove the Feed Roller by expanding the Left & Right White Clips located at the top outward. At the same time roll the Roller toward yourself. The Roller will simply slide out of it's socket.
Step 5
Remove the Separation Pad by sliding a small Flat Blade under it and pry gently, it will snap out of it's socket.
Step 6
Here we show a upside down view of the Separation Pad to show the Clips.
Step 7
Be sure to align the Separation Pad correctly, and then apply some downward pressure and the Separation Pad will lock in to place.
Step 8
Reinstalling the Feed Roller simply start by aligning the bottom of the Roller in to the Hinges, you will notice that the bottom of the Roller has Round Nipples were the top is Square, the Round goes on the bottom and simply roll the Roller upwards until it locks in to place.
