NOTE:
replacing the tray 1 roller and separation pad please
perform the lid removal procedure first. |

1 |
Please read all of this step before
performing. Begin by identifying the mp tray 1 roller,
remove the roller by depressing the right side of
the rollers collar lock and sliding it to the right
(note how the left collar is being held in step
4) when removing the roller do not let the left
side slide to the right there is a shaft pin located
on the left collar that can fall out when removing
the tray 1 roller. You can see a picture of this
in step 3. |

To remove the roller,
simply lift the right side of the roller up
and remove. |

Make
sure the left collar is snugly pushed to the left
as we replace the separation pad. |

Identify
your new separation pad you will notice that it
has two parts and can be split by squeezing the
hinges together and removing the separation pad
from its base you have the choice to not remove
the old pad assembly with a #2 phillips but to simply
replace the separation pad while its in the printer. |

Identify
the screw just below the tray 1 roller and remove
it. |

7 |
Now
you can slide out the old separation pad assembly
aprepare for the re installation of the new one. |

8 |
Reinstall
the new separation pad assembly by sliding it inward
and positioning it to lock into place, you can get
some visual aid from this picture. The separation
pad assembly will be flush when installed correctly. |
