Remove paper tray and lean the printer
back for better view inside the printer. Start by
identifying the primary pickup roller, begin by
rotating the left and right plastic locks forward
out of there sockets, the left collar lock will
slide to the left and off the roller shaft, the
collar lock on the right can be slid over after
it is free. |
|
|
| Step
2 |
The left collar lock
will slide to the left and completely off the roller
shaft, the right side collar lock can be slid further
to the right after it is free allowing room for
the roller to be removed. |
|
|
| Step
3 |
Slide the pickup roller assembly to
the left this will allow room to remove the roller
on the right side, the shaft will have clearance
to be removed, you may have to work the whit locking
collar a little for this to take place. |
|
|
| Step
4 |
Do
not worry about confusing the white idler rollers
they are identical and can be installed on either
side of the pickup roller. |
|
|
| Step
5 |
NOTE:
The pickup roller shaft is notched and can only
fit on the drive shaft in a specific way take your
time to look at this and identify the larger side
compared to the smaller side on the roller shaft
and on the printer so when you reinstall the new
roller it will be easier to position the new roller
to meet the drive shaft. |
|
|
| Step
6 |
When
reinstalling the new roller be sure the paper out
sensor located on the right of the white locking
collar swings freely, you may have to negotiate
roller a couple of times when reinstalling the new
one. |
|
|
| Step
7 |
Also
on the far right of the rollers drive shaft we are
showing a exploded view of the white locking clip
incase you will need to snap it back in to place,
sometimes during a new roller install this white
clip can pop out of its socket. |
