Please
Remove all cables (Power Cord and Computer Cables)
and the Toner from your Printer. If you have Installed
an Optional Memory Card in your Printer you can
leave it. But you will need to Remove the Memory
Cover, so do this at this time. While standing in
front of the Printer the Memory Plate is located
on the lower Left side of the Printer. |

Facing
the rear of the Printer, Remove the (3)
Three Screws as indicated in the picture. |

Facing
the front of the Printer, open the Toner Access
Cover and Remove the top (2) Two Screws. |
|

Facing
the rear of the Printer, Remove the Rear Cover by
lifting the Paper Guide straight up and inserting
a Flat Blade in the upper (2) Two Release
Clips as shown. You must pull the Rear Cover toward
you in order to remove it. This may take a small
amount of force. |

Facing
the front of the Printer, you must now remove the
Printer’s Main Cover, do this by releasing
the Plastic Clips on the bottom four corners of
the Printer and sliding the lid straight upwards.
This takes a little patience. |

Now
Remove the Plastic Paper Guide shown in the picture.
Do this by lifting straight up towards the Paper
Guide and it will lift straight up and out, be sure
to not damage the Black Film. |

Facing
the rear of the Printer, you must now remove the
Steel Cover Plate attached to the Input Assembly.
The plate has (1) One Screw holding it
on. This plate must be removed to gain access to
the Input Assembly. |

Facing
the rear of the Printer, Remove the Wiring Harness.
Start from the top of the Printer. We need to remove
the Wiring to get to the Paper Input Assembly, but
be careful to not damage any of the Wire Plugs.
Work slowly and don’t force them, you will
have to remove the upper connectors and (2)
connections on the bottom of the input assembly. |

Now
Remove the Small Spring Clip on the Left side of
the Input Assembly’s Roller Shaft, the small
spring clip will obstruct the input assembly while
being removed. |

Now
Remove the (4) Four Screws holding the
Input Assembly in, there will be (2) on
the left and (2) on the right. |
|

Now
Release the (2) Two Paper Feed Roller Supports
by pinching and pulling toward the rear of the Printer.
If left in, it will make the Input Assembly difficult
to pull out. |

While
Facing the rear of the printer, pull the Input Assembly
outward, do this slowly in case you left a wire
connection plugged in. |
|

| Step

While
resting the Paper Input Assembly on the table, Remove
the White Clip on the end of the Feed Roller Shaft.
The Clip can be removed by rotating counter clockwise
and pulling it outward. |

Now
Remove the Clutch located on the opposite side.
Do this by expanding the Retainer Clips outward
carefully, without breaking the plastic; with the
Clips expanded the Clutch can be pulled off the
Roller Shaft. Slide the Roller Shaft out of its
Socket at this time. |

Now
Remove the Paper Kick Plate. Do this by lifting
the Kick Plate upwards until it can be removed from
its hinges.
NOTE:
Keep the Spring on the back of the Kick Plate. There
will be no need for it to come off. |

Next
Remove the Separation Pad Clip. It is white in color
and is located on the back of the Paper Input Assembly,
simply press the clip upwards until it snaps out
of its socket. |

Now
Remove your old Separation Pad. The Separation Pad
will hinge upwards and can be removed from its Socket. |
|

| Step

Now
Remove the Small Left and Right Separation Pads
these pads are held into place by a Small Clip located
on the underside of the Paper Pick-Up Assembly.
Take a Flat Blade Screwdriver and release the Locking
Clip. |

Now
Reinstall your
Left
and Right Separation Pads, make sure they lock in
to position. When finished, look for a nice seam
around the Clips this will insure they are in correctly. |

Now
Install your
Separation Pad at this time. Your Kit will include
a
Spring to go with it. Install the Spring on the
back of the Separation Pad. You will see a Plastic
Nipple where the Spring can be Inserted. |

Now
Install the Kick Plate at this time. Remember, the
Kick Plate will have to be Inserted starting in
the upward position and slowly rotated downwards.
Make sure you get the Left and Right sides of the
Kick Plate in their sockets. Before trying to rotate
the kick plate downwards, you will have to press
down on the newly installed Separation Pad to allow
room for the Kick Plate to clear it. Make sure you
navigate the Kick Plate Spring above the
Separation Pad. |

Now
Reinstall the Feed Roller Shaft. Start by inserting
the longer end of the Shaft in the Geared End side
and then the Right side. Once the Right side is
in you will need to hold it there to Reinstall the
White Locking Clip. Once the White Locking Clip
is Installed, return to the Left side of the Roller
Shaft and Install the Clutch. The Clutch can only
go on the Roller Shaft one way. It has been cut
out to fit on the Roller Shaft this way and may
require you to turn it a little before it locks
into place. |

Now
you must slide the Input Assembly into the back
of the Printer. There are (2) Two Pins,
(1) One on each side, which must slide
into place for the Input Assembly to be in its correct
position. Next, Insert the (4) Four Screws
into their places on the Input Assembly. Lift the
(2) Two Clips on the Roller Shaft up until
they snap into place to hold the Roller Shaft in
place. |

Now
Reattach the Metal Spring Clip on the end of the
Roller Shaft on the side of the Printer. Next, Reattach
all the Wires into their Harnesses. All of the Wires
have different sizes so they should not be difficult
to distinguish between them. Make sure the Wires
are tucked away the way they were before. |

Now
put the Steel Cover Plate back into place that attaches
to the Input Assembly. Insert the Screw back into
its place. |

Now
Reinstall the Paper Guide back into its Socket.
Be careful not to damage the Black Film. Also, make
sure the Black Film goes into place correctly or
you may have a Paper Jam when you are finished.
Next, slide the Main Cover back onto the Printer.
Make sure all (4) Four Corners are fastened
down securely. Put the (2) Two Screws on
the top back in their places. Check the paper divertor
Toggle Switch to make sure it switches up and down
freely. This determines where your paper will come
out. |

Now
Reinstall the Back Cover, making sure the Paper
Guide Plate is in the Upright Position. Snap the
(4) Four corners into place and insert
the (3) Three Screws in their places. Reinstall
the Optional Memory Cover Plate. |

Finished |
Now
Reinstall your Toner Cartridge and plug in the Power
Cord and the Parallel Cable. Put paper in the Printer
and run a Test Copy to make sure your Printer passes
paper. To run a Test Copy, simply press the button
on the front of the Printer. |
