Please Remove all cables (Power Cord and Computer Cables) and the Toner from your Printer. If you have Installed an Optional Memory Card in your Printer you can leave it. But you will need to Remove the Memory Cover, so do this at this time. While standing in front of the Printer the Memory Plate is located on the lower Left side of the Printer.
Step 2
Facing the rear of the Printer, Remove the (3) Three Screws as indicated in the picture.
Step 3
Facing the front of the Printer, open the Toner Access Cover and Remove the top (2) Two Screws.
Step 4
Facing the rear of the Printer, Remove the Rear Cover by lifting the Paper Guide straight up and inserting a Flat Blade in the upper (2) Two Release Clips as shown. You must pull the Rear Cover toward you in order to remove it. This may take a small amount of force.
Step 5
Facing the front of the Printer, you must now remove the Printer’s Main Cover, do this by releasing the Plastic Clips on the bottom four corners of the Printer and sliding the lid straight upwards. This takes a little patience.
Step 6
Now Remove the Plastic Paper Guide shown in the picture. Do this by lifting straight up towards the Paper Guide and it will lift straight up and out, be sure to not damage the Black Film.
Step 7
Facing the rear of the Printer, you must now remove the Steel Cover Plate attached to the Input Assembly. The plate has (1) One Screw holding it on. This plate must be removed to gain access to the Input Assembly.
Step 8
Facing the rear of the Printer, Remove the Wiring Harness. Start from the top of the Printer. We need to remove the Wiring to get to the Paper Input Assembly, but be careful to not damage any of the Wire Plugs. Work slowly and don’t force them, you will have to remove the upper connectors and (2) connections on the bottom of the input assembly.
Step 9
Now Remove the Small Spring Clip on the Left side of the Input Assembly’s Roller Shaft, the small spring clip will obstruct the input assembly while being removed.
Step 10
Now Remove the (4) Four Screws holding the Input Assembly in, there will be (2) on the left and (2) on the right.
Step 11
Now Release the (2) Two Paper Feed Roller Supports by pinching and pulling toward the rear of the Printer. If left in, it will make the Input Assembly difficult to pull out.
Step 12
While Facing the rear of the printer, pull the Input Assembly outward, do this slowly in case you left a wire connection plugged in.
Step 13
While resting the Paper Input Assembly on the table, Remove the White Clip on the end of the Feed Roller Shaft. The Clip can be removed by rotating counter clockwise and pulling it outward.

Step 14
Now Remove the Clutch located on the opposite side. Do this by expanding the Retainer Clips outward carefully, without breaking the plastic; with the Clips expanded the Clutch can be pulled off the Roller Shaft. Slide the Roller Shaft out of its Socket at this time.
Step 15
Now Remove the Paper Kick Plate. Do this by lifting the Kick Plate upwards until it can be removed from its hinges.

NOTE: Keep the Spring on the back of the Kick Plate. There will be no need for it to come off.
Step 16
Next Remove the Separation Pad Clip. It is white in color and is located on the back of the Paper Input Assembly, simply press the clip upwards until it snaps out of its socket.
Step 17
Now Remove your old Separation Pad. The Separation Pad will hinge upwards and can be removed from its Socket.
Step 18
Now Remove the Small Left and Right Separation Pads these pads are held into place by a Small Clip located on the underside of the Paper Pick-Up Assembly. Take a Flat Blade Screwdriver and release the Locking Clip.
Step 19
Now Reinstall your Left and Right Separation Pads, make sure they lock in to position. When finished, look for a nice seam around the Clips this will insure they are in correctly.
Step 20
Now Install your Separation Pad at this time. Your Kit will include a Spring to go with it. Install the Spring on the back of the Separation Pad. You will see a Plastic Nipple where the Spring can be Inserted.
Step 21
Now Install the Kick Plate at this time. Remember, the Kick Plate will have to be Inserted starting in the upward position and slowly rotated downwards. Make sure you get the Left and Right sides of the Kick Plate in their sockets. Before trying to rotate the kick plate downwards, you will have to press down on the newly installed Separation Pad to allow room for the Kick Plate to clear it. Make sure you navigate the Kick Plate Spring above the Separation Pad.
Step 22
Now Reinstall the Feed Roller Shaft. Start by inserting the longer end of the Shaft in the Geared End side and then the Right side. Once the Right side is in you will need to hold it there to Reinstall the White Locking Clip. Once the White Locking Clip is Installed, return to the Left side of the Roller Shaft and Install the Clutch. The Clutch can only go on the Roller Shaft one way. It has been cut out to fit on the Roller Shaft this way and may require you to turn it a little before it locks into place.
Step 23
Now you must slide the Input Assembly into the back of the Printer. There are (2) Two Pins, (1) One on each side, which must slide into place for the Input Assembly to be in its correct position. Next, Insert the (4) Four Screws into their places on the Input Assembly. Lift the (2) Two Clips on the Roller Shaft up until they snap into place to hold the Roller Shaft in place.
Step 24
Now Reattach the Metal Spring Clip on the end of the Roller Shaft on the side of the Printer. Next, Reattach all the Wires into their Harnesses. All of the Wires have different sizes so they should not be difficult to distinguish between them. Make sure the Wires are tucked away the way they were before.
Step 25
Now put the Steel Cover Plate back into place that attaches to the Input Assembly. Insert the Screw back into its place.
Step 26
Now Reinstall the Paper Guide back into its Socket. Be careful not to damage the Black Film. Also, make sure the Black Film goes into place correctly or you may have a Paper Jam when you are finished. Next, slide the Main Cover back onto the Printer. Make sure all (4) Four Corners are fastened down securely. Put the (2) Two Screws on the top back in their places. Check the paper divertor Toggle Switch to make sure it switches up and down freely. This determines where your paper will come out.
Step 27
Now Reinstall the Back Cover, making sure the Paper Guide Plate is in the Upright Position. Snap the (4) Four corners into place and insert the (3) Three Screws in their places. Reinstall the Optional Memory Cover Plate.
Your Finished
Now Reinstall your Toner Cartridge and plug in the Power Cord and the Parallel Cable. Put paper in the Printer and run a Test Copy to make sure your Printer passes paper. To run a Test Copy, simply press the button on the front of the Printer.
